James Evens

James “Jim” Evens, CFP®, brings nearly 40 years of experience in investment and wealth management to the client family at Trinity Wealth Advisors. As head of investment strategy, Jim oversees the evaluation of the institutional managers we recommend and the individual portfolios that are put in place for clients. His wealth management expertise covers comprehensive wealth planning, market evaluation and monitoring, and portfolio and tax planning for individuals, families and small business owners.

Jim has assisted in the development of institutional investment programs since starting his career in banking with Commerce Bank in St. Louis in 1986. His career has transitioned over time to focus on serving clients with the desire to do something truly meaningful with their lives and for their families – and he sees it as a deep responsibility to help them achieve their goals.

Jim has been involved in numerous professional organizations, He is currently serving on the Advisory Board of the Brown Sisters Foundation and is a member of the St. Louis-Stuttgart Sister Cities Organization, encouraging relationship-building, cultural sharing and trade with St. Louis’ oldest sister city.

Jim lives in Chesterfield with his wife Susanne and son Alex. Jim graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Fun Facts about Jim:

All things German:  We are involved in the German community and enjoy German cuisine at home and celebrate many German traditions.  Susanne is a native German who founded AAA Translation, a foreign language translation and global consulting firm.  She has also been the president of St. Louis Stuttgart Sister Cities since 2006.

Soccer enthusiast:  Grew up playing soccer and have continued to enjoy the sport.  Susanne and I are Founder St. Louis City SC season ticketholders, fans of our national teams and the German Bundesliga.  Susanne translates for our soccer team and enjoys interaction with German influences around the team such as our sporting director and coach.

Travel and exploring new restaurants.  Whether it is trying out new St. Louis restaurants or traveling out of town using Guy Fieri’s Diners Drive-ins and Dives suggestions, we love to find hidden gems as we explore different cities, river towns and historic sites.

Pets: Have grown up with having various types of dogs and more recently a cat has entered our home.  We support local rescue agencies and enjoy our spoiled pets.

I am a member of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church and have been engaged with a men’s biblically based group meeting primarily at First Free Church for more than six years.
