James “Jim” Matush, CFP, MBA, is a 5-Star Rated Wealth Advisor and a seasoned strategic wealth advisor. With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Jim offers his clients comprehensive and actionable plans to achieve their wealth and family goals – providing guidance and direction in matters of investment planning, wealth sustainability and enhancement, wealth protection, wealth transfer and charitable giving.
Jim founded Trinity Wealth Advisors with a personal conviction to come alongside his client families and make a tangible difference in their lives by helping them focus on the possibilities that wealth provides as well as the greater purpose it can serve. Under his leadership, Trinity Wealth Advisors has grown into one of the St Louis area’s leading wealth advisors specialized in meeting the needs of affluent families.
Jim is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). In its infancy from 1983 to 1988 he served on the Board of Directors and chaired several committees for its predecessor association, the IAFP. He has since then served on four different Senior Advisor Boards including Royal Alliance, one of the largest independent Broker/Dealers of financial securities in the U.S. Today, Trinity owns its own Broker/Dealer, ensuring complete independence from any proprietary interests.
From 1996 to 2002, Jim was responsible for the organization and establishment of the St. Louis Chapter of the CPA/Law Forum. He enjoys speaking to professional organizations and investment clubs and, from 1992 through 1996, Jim hosted a popular weekly radio program, “More Money with Matush.”
After the tragic loss of his teenage son Jamie in 2000, Jim has focused his personal time on mentoring and supporting organizations serving youth. Jim is involved with the CBMC (Christian Businessmen’s Connection), the National Christian Foundation, Kirkwood Chamber of Commerce, the Kirkwood Rotary Club, Washington University Alumni Association and attends Windsor Crossing Community Church. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
